Love can come from many places. People tend to associate Valentine’s Day with couples, however, here at IBIS Care Miranda, love is shared in companionship and friendship. Residents showed a little extra love for each other this Valentine’s day, with kind gestures and hugs all around. While the masses of Sydneysiders flocked to restaurants and café, we paid tribute with acknowledgement and gratitude for our friends around us – by way of a simple hug or soft kiss on the cheek. These are the people we see every day. It may be a Registered Nurse, Personal Care Assistant or a friend found upon joining the IBIS Care community. We don’t need a particular day to be reminded how lucky we are to have people around us who care – we find it daily, on the familiar faces that make up our beautiful aged care community.

On occasion, we are gifted with a visit from a furry little friend. He is an old friend of Lifestyle Officer, Phil, and his visits are always met with friendly faces, soft hands and a warm heart. Cradled in Phil’s arms, he makes his way amongst the community receiving adoration from residents and staff. He has provided so much joy over the years and offers residents an opportunity to forget about their woes, pain or frustrations.
